Week 6

There wasn't much of anything new this week.  We did get to go inside the house finally!  Of course that was very exciting!

We will have our pre-drywall meeting this Friday!  We also will have our personal inspection on Wednesday....let's hope they have been doing a great job on our house and he doesn't come with a list of items.

Here are some pictures from our visit!

Living Room

Dining Room

Family Room.....window is still missing.  PM said the window leaning against the wall was too small.

Kitchen

Morning Room

My favorite window!

Kids Bathroom

Loft with our attic access.  We requested the access be moved from the bedroom to the other side of the wall.  Our PM put it in the middle of the loft.....we were supposed to have a ceiling fan pre-wire here.  Since we can't have that, he agreed to do two recess lights on each side of the door.

    1. Ha! When is your house supposed to be ready? I'm sure when drywall happens, yours will take longer since you have a lot more to put up....but that's a good thing! Lots of space!

    2. They tell me March and my PM has been pretty good about staying on track. He told me in November that our pre dry wall would be January 8th and lo and behold we are having the meeting Jan 8th!

  3. Attic access in the loft, that's simply ridiculous and unacceptable. Ours is in the laundry room where it actually makes sense. It must be a regional thing. In ours we have no issue with where any lights or outlets were placed. I know some people have horror stories of idiot placement for those too. Very smart on getting your own Inspector. Well worth the money. We are very house savvy, but there's no way you can catch everything, it's simply not our job. If you read our blog, you'll see our Inspector caught some good stuff. Glad we hired him. Best of luck!
