8 days!!!

Normally after I leave work, I drive by the house to see if there is something new.  Today I needed to run errands for the kiddos Valentine’s parties ….As soon as I parked at Target, my PM called.  He addressed a couple of things I emailed him about.  I asked him about the sod and plants since we are about to hit a cold streak (probably followed by 80 degree weather….that’s Virginia for you).  He told me they were going in today!  I was totally shocked because I really didn’t expect to have anything.  So after I got off the phone with him, I called my hubby and asked him to swing by to get some pictures.

In our current house, the previous owner planted flowers and they come back every year, so all the work was done for me!  I do think I will make an attempt to ensure our yard looks nice and will plant some of my own flowers to enhance what has been done, but I have no clue when it comes to things green.  I asked the PM if our sod and plants would die especially with a chance for snow next week.  He said they would be fine, so here’s to hoping we have nice green grass and beautiful plants in the spring.

We also got our stair/porch railings today.  They look very nice and I am EXTREMELY happy to see them!

Our PM told me they are doing the final finishes to make our house perfect!

Here are some pictures of the yard and the rails.  I will be back tomorrow to see the sod!

  1. Congrats on being so close! The house looks great! I don't know much about greenery either so I can't lend a helping hand or I would ;) but I suppose I would trust what they say!

  2. I'm obsessed with the exterior colors of your home. The railing also adds a rich completed feeling to the look.

  4. Nice color combination. I'm sure the last few days seem like they are taking forever.

  5. I really do love the colors and I'm glad the trim around the windows could remain white which makes a huge difference! Thanks everyone!

  6. I really like the railing and the brick in front of the porch. I hope they do the same with ours.
