Week 3

Here are some pictures from this week.  I tend to drive by the house often and while they are working.  I’m sure they think I’m crazy!

The first floor is up and they are now working on the second floor.  It’s going up fast!   It still looks small though....

  1. I'm watching the model home in our development go up, and it looks a lot smaller than the same model home we toured. Our Sales Rep told us she hears it from every client. lol Supposedly, it's hard to get the size of it until the drywall goes up. It looks like they are moving fast!! Not long before you get to the drywall stage now!

  2. Nokomis- trust me when I tell you it will look ting until drywall and siding. It really came into perspective for me when I would drive up and look at it from the side. That's when it looks gigantic.

I'd tell you to come visit now so you can see that it REALLY is massive. We don't have enough to fill this Naples up! Haha.

  3. Ok ladies, I will give it until the drywall and siding go up! I know we aren't building a tiny house. I also have been taking all my pictures from my car as I'm driving by, lol.

From this point, how much longer until siding and drywall? A month?

    1. roof, shingles, windows will go in, then trades start. Trades took about 6 days for us. I would guess you have about 3 weeks! Then it really moves.

    2. I'm thinking the roof will go on today because it looked as if the 2nd floor framing was finishing up yesterday. So they only need to do windows and shingles before pre-drywall meeting?

  4. So jealous right now! My PM says that framing will begin tomorrow. He did warn me that since the CG has a bigger footprint, it will probably take longer than some of the other homes- but still....OH well at least someone's getting framed!

  6. Everyone says that the home seems so small until the drywall goes up... well I hope so! :) Because I am a bit apprehensive that our home may be small even when the drywall goes up lol! Oops. I'm trying to be optimistic about it though. My husband says I'm crazy. Well.. I'm sure the builders/pavers think I'm a little silly also for driving by and slowing down pretty frequently as I watch them pave LOL. We're just excited future homeowners, right?! :)
